Ok, my short story “Amber” is available FREE starting tomorrow. Let’s give it some love, shall we? All my other author friends are justifiably happy about being #14 or #8 on a list, can we try to punt this puppy up as high as it can go?  Right now, its at #409,001 Paid in Kindle Store. It won’t take much to push it up, even if only 15 dowload it for free tomorrow, that should put me in the top 100,000 I wager. So if’n y’all don’t mind, can we get our friends to, as an experiment at least, see how it can go? it will be FREE, so its nothing ventured. thanks bunches!  http://www.amazon.com/Amber-ebook/dp/B00E0WUW7A

UPDATE: Amber is, as of right now, #75 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Literature & Fiction > Genre Fiction > Science Fiction > Post-Apocalyptic

UPDATE: Now 65!

UPDATE: and now, it disappeared off the list ALTOGETHER and the stats disappeared off the ordering page. I don’t understand how Amazon works, exactly.

Ok, its been explained to me that rank is likely not just based on flat free downloads, but  rate of downloads in a given time, so a fast burst will make your rank go up but if it slacks back down, it will drop like headstone tied to a dead whale. Or something.

at least it came back, for how long, I don’t know, at #60:

woohoo! now up to #44!

UPDATE: here’s the numbers, now its in the top 100 in two lists:

UPDATE: things are pretty fluid now, as evidenced by all these screen shots. Who knows what the actual rank is, but the main thing is, you guys are doing great!
